Some parents hang their kid’s first drawings on their fridge.
I’ve decided I’m going to hang Jack’s first picture here on my vitrual fridge:

Yesterday, Jack and Christine brought me this first picture. Totally cool… and when we point to the elephant and ask him what sound an elephant makes he puts his arm in the air and goes “brrrrrrr” just like an elephant lifting his trunk and trumpeting.
Kids do the darndest things, don’t they?

This is great. It would be funny to see some of the pictures Mommy did in the process of getting Jack interested!

Definitely the marriage of abstract expressionism and surrealism. The use of mixed media with the animal stickers and the crayons evokes a sense of primal continuum between ancient and modern day cultures. Do I detect a budding Jackson Pollock? Make sure he reads “American Masters - The Artists.”
